what not to eat on Keto

Hi All,

So we talked a bit on what Keto is, today I want to discuss what we shouldn’t be eating on Keto.
I cant say enough that before you eat something ask yourself ” Would a caveman eat this?” If the answer is no, more then likely you shouldn’t eat it. I know that we have evolved so much since those days, but food wise it hasn’t been for the best. There are so many options available replacement this replacement that, that’s why we have to smart about what we eat. So below is a list on the things we must stay away from.

Sugar– Sugar is a huge no-no, sugar is almost in everything, so read labels!!
All Grains– Yes even whole grains are a no-no, common grains are wheat, pasta, rice, cereal ext.
Starchy Carbs– This are typically white vegetables such as potatoes, and corn.
Fruit– Yes we have to stay away from large fruits such as oranges, apples, bananas, some berries are ok in moderation.
Low fat foods– Going back to the caveman theory here, if its marked as low fat, it just means that the good fat was removed and chemicals and junk added.
Trans Fat-Margarine or any other spreadable replacement butter should be avoided as they contain hydrogenated fats, which are horrible for us.

So that is the basic list of what to stay away from, the key is eating real food. The way I think of is if grew out of the ground, in its natural state or it was once alive it should be okay to eat. 🙂  ( the caveman theory)
